I have traveled to six countries, many US states, and have lived in three states and two countries in my life. This blog is going to be about my experiences travelling as a young woman, and the stories I have to tell (there are quite a few). The posts won't be in any particular order, but simply as the recollections come to mind.
My writing style varies wildly. Sometimes I'm sarcastic and cynical; other times my writing reeks of depression. I'll post a few poems here or there that I've written since my travels began.
I was raised in the US until shortly before my sixteenth birthday, just before my junior year of high school. My family--dad, step-mom and little brother--and I moved to Penang, Malaysia in August of 2012. After a semester of living in Penang, I moved back to the US in December 2012--but this is not what matters.
The countries I've traveled to include Vietnam, France, Great Britain, the Bahamas, Canada, and Malaysia, which goes without saying. My time in these countries will be the focal point of the blog, and include:
- The Awesome Powers of Air Pollution
- Bloody Mary's and Montmartre
- The Anti-Climactic, yet Awe-Inspiring Stonehenge; Or: "Big Stone"
- Hanoi: The Giant Village
- What's That? Oh! It's Durian.
If you purchase within the next five minutes, I'll even throw in signed copy of the journal I kept whilst living in Penang!
Thank you for reading this far; I hope you'll come back and read again!
-Lily
